Sloan Welsch's image

Sloan Welsch is a Brooklyn-based audio engineer and mixer, and a graduate of The Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. In 2021, Sloan earned a degree in Audio Engineering and Sound Production. After graduation, he started work at the historic Cutting Room Studios in NYC. Over time, he rose through the ranks from intern to house engineer. While at the Cutting Room, Sloan built his versatility working in post-production. He has worked on projects such as The White Lotus, Big Mouth, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, and with Grammy Award–winning artists like Ed Sheeran, J. Cole, and WizKid. In 2024, Sloan worked on K’naan’s song “Refugee,” which won the Grammy Award for Best Song for Social Change. He has also worked on broadcast and social campaigns for brands such as the NBA, Gatorade, and Samsung. Having such a diverse background in several disciplines within audio engineering has allowed Sloan to serve an array of different clients and their unique needs.
